Headquartered in Sacramento, California, A4 Promotions & Incentives is a third-generation promotional product company founded in 1969. In 2017, A4 Promotions became a woman owned corporation, with Brittany Smith, daughter of the second-generation owner, taking the helm as President and majority owner.
Before we made it to Sacramento though, we started in Los Angeles. The company ventured into the promotional product industry in the early 1970’s manufacturing a simple wine-opener, with an imprinted sleeve. Our founding owner partnered with the owner/founder of Trader Joes, Joe Coulombe, to create the highly popular Vintage two-pronged cork puller.
Thankfully, it was a huge success - and the start of our three-generation promotional product family business!
After the wine-opener launched, A4 Promotions started getting calls from companies like Bank of America and Federal Express requesting their very own branded versions.
That led to additional corporate requests for even more branded items—and we fell in love with the process of helping businesses develop creative, interactive, and unexpected marketing plans.

Promotional Product Professionals
Brittany is the third-generation owner, and current President. She has worked in the promotional product industry for over 12 years, starting out on the ground floor, learning all aspects and every facet of the business. She is very creative in her approach with the clients and is an expert on creating online company store portals. Brittany earned her degree in Dental Hygiene but found marketing and the promotional product industry to be her career passion. Brittany is the mother of two boys and one girl. She is an active volunteer at her children’s schools, and is active in the local Soccer, Little League, and Basketball leagues.
Bruce is the second-generation owner, past President, and current Vice President/Sales Manager. He has worked in the promotional product industry for over 45 years on both the distributor and supplier side. Bruce graduated from Brigham Young University in 1976, with a degree in Political Science and a minor in International Relations. Besides being totally active in all aspects of A4 Promotions & Incentives sales, marketing, and the day-to-day business, Bruce also serves, as a volunteer, on several community committees, and boards. His down time includes, playing golf and spending time at the family cabin in the Sierra Nevada’s.
Jennifer is Vice President and a third-generation board member. She has worked at A4 Promotions and Incentives for close to 20 years. Like her sister Brittany, she also knows every aspect of the business, from marketing and sales to finances. Jennifer is extremely skilled in product sourcing, and shipping logistics. Her retail background, with a major clothing retailer, has proven to be a major asset to A4 and its clients. Jennifer is a graduate of California State University at Sacramento, in Criminal Justice. The mother of four children, she is active in her cities Interfaith Council, working with the homeless, refuge outreach, disadvantage teens, as well as working on raising the advanced education opportunities for high school athletes at the local high school.
Jennifer has been in the promotional marketing industry for the past 8 years. She comes to A4 Promotions & Incentives with a unique expertise in graphic design, project management, supply chain & logistics, as well as being able to uniquely think outside the box to solve problems with creative solutions. Jennifer graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in engineering. While in the engineering field, she explored careers in process management, continuous improvement, supply chains and logistics, as well as human factors. When not at work, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and two boys on their “small farm in progress”. She spends her “free” time helping with non-profit volunteering, cooking/baking, cycling, reading, camping, and enjoying the outdoors!
